When a code isn't saved in your camera, you will see a red frame in your Entagged app, or if you're using a scanner, it will emit a short low beep. There are a few reasons this may be happening, so try the following steps:
- Pause: When tagging and shooting many photos in rapid succession, your camera sometimes needs a second to "catch up" and process the codes. Wait a few seconds, and then try scanning again. Make sure you're in camera mode and not in a menu or playback mode.
- Check your Bluetooth connection: If your Bluetooth connection is lost, your Entagged device's LED will turn yellow, If you are using a barcode scanner, it will blink in blue, and if you are using the Entagged app, it will usually close the scanning screen. Make sure your Entagged didn't accidentally connect to a different device (if you have previously paired it with multiple devices). Re-pair your Entagged device (and scanner, if applicable), and then try scanning again.
- Check your Entagged device: Make sure your Entagged device is plugged in correctly and hasn't been dislodged. In addition, make sure your cables are securely inserted in all ports.
If you are scanning barcodes via the Entagged app, check the following as well:
- Check your phone permissions: The Entagged app needs access to your phone's camera to function. Check your phone permissions and make sure you've granted the Entagged app access to your phone's camera.
- Perform a hard reset: Close the Entagged app completely ("force quit"), and then restart the app.
Remember: The last successfully scanned code will remain saved in your camera until you successfully scan a new code.
