Overview
If you notice that an order number and its invoice number do not match, this is expected behavior. GotPhoto does not automatically generate invoices for every type of order.
When invoices are created
- Personal orders: Do not generate invoices.
- Direct and batch shipping orders (via Order Entry): Invoice creation is optional for studios in the US.
Why order and invoice numbers differ
Because not every order results in an invoice, the invoice sequence may skip certain orders. This means the invoice number can diverge from the order number without indicating an error.
