# Create a Prepay price list

### **Overview**
**Please note:** Prepay is not activated by default and is reserved for existing North American customers on higher-tier plans with specific business needs. If this applies to you and you believe Prepay may be a good fit, contact your account manager. Prepay+ is only available to existing users who already have it enabled. We’ve stepped back from broadly offering Prepay/Prepay+ to enhance the experience in the future.
Prepay price lists can include product packages, digital downloads, à la carte items, and extra backgrounds (for Green Screen jobs). After you create a price list, you can use it in multiple jobs. This article explains how to create a new price list **for Prepay jobs**.

### **Prepay settings in photo job main settings**
Prepay settings live under **Important events** on the [Photo Job main settings page](https://help.gotphoto.com/en/support/the-photo-jobs-settings-page?hsLang=en). Configure each item below before you publish your Prepay shop.
### Deadline
- **Deadline:** Customers can place orders until the date you set here. Orders are accepted until **11:59 p.m.** on that day.
### Access code
- **Access code:** Fill this only if you checked *Protected access* in your account’s [General Prepay settings](https://app.gotphoto.com/config_prepay/settings).
- No spaces; letters and digits are allowed; not case-sensitive.
### Price lists in Prepay
- ✓**Price list:** This price list will be used in the Prepay shop. Be aware:
- **No upselling options** (additional poses, downloads, or prints) are supported in the Prepay shop- even if you reuse a non-Prepay price list.
- **The “Download all” package is also not supported** in the Prepay shop. You can offer the *Individual download* instead.
- In price list settings, you can set the **[purchase of a package as mandatory](https://help.gotphoto.com/en/support/upselling-make-the-purchase-of-a-package-mandatory?hsLang=en)** or define a **[minimum order value.](https://help.gotphoto.com/en/support/upselling-set-a-minimum-order-value?hsLang=en)**
- \[Prepay + Green Screen\] You can add the download package **Individual download with all backgrounds**. This lets customers add all available backgrounds for a single pose at a fixed price (available only in the Prepay shop).
 This is how it appears in the shop:
### **Composite products in Prepay**
\[Prepay only\] You can now sell dedicated [Composite](https://help.gotphoto.com/en/support/mark-photos-as-a-composite-collage-in-gotphoto?hsLang=en)products, such as Memory Mates, in your Prepay shop. This makes it easier to offer popular sports products through the Prepay workflow.
**Activation:** Composite products are not enabled for Prepay by default. The GotPhoto team activates them on request for eligible customers and existing Prepay users.
**Supported Prepay workflows for Composite products:**
- **Traditional (single-pose) Prepay:** Supported.
- **Prepay+ (legacy):** Not supported.
With Composite products in Prepay, you can:
- Add Composite products to Prepay **packages**, **downloads**, and **à la carte** products.
- Have orders filled with the correct Composite photo automatically.
**Set up a Composite product:**
1. Make sure the GotPhoto team has activated Composite products for your account.
2. Open your Prepay price list.
3. Add the product to a package, download, or à la carte item.
4. In the **Available for** dropdown, select **Composites** only. If you use Set price for each category, the Composites row counts as its own photo type and works too.
5. Save the price list and attach it to your Prepay photo job.
**Current requirements**
- **Composite as its own photo type only:** A product can't combine Composite with Individual or Group photos on the same product (for example, "Individual photos, Composites"). If your price list has a product like this and you switch the job to Prepay, the Prepay checklist shows an error under **Price list** and **Start selling with Prepay** stays disabled. To continue, click **Review price list** and assign Composite as its own dedicated photo type, or select a different price list.

- **All photos:** Products set to **All photos** work in Prepay, but only Individual and Group photos are used to fill orders. To sell a Composite, set the product to **Composites** only.
- **Best for JPG-only jobs:** If your job uses PNGs and your price list has backgrounds enabled, customers will see background options for the Composite product and can pay for a background. If they don't pick a background, the order goes to **Manual revision**, because the system flags a PNG without a selected background.
We're working on an update that hides background options for Composite PNGs.
### **Prepay Price List Checklist**
This checklist highlights the key requirements and limitations when creating a prepay price list. It shows which product types and features are supported, which are not available in the prepay shop, and what setup rules should be followed. Reviewing these guidelines helps ensure your prepay shop works correctly and encourages customers to place orders before picture day.

### **The takeaway**
To launch a Prepay shop, set your deadline, configure access (if protected), and attach a Prepay-ready price list. Remember: upsells and “Download all” aren’t shown in Prepay, Green Screen supports a convenient “Individual download with all backgrounds,” and you must include at least one package for products to appear in the shop. Prepay now also supports composite products like Memory Mates once the GotPhoto team activates them for you. They work best for JPG-only jobs. Please review the required settings in this article.
