Why the "Too many photos" tag appears in GotPhoto

Table of contents

Overview

If you add too many photos to an album in GotPhoto, you may see a "Too many photos" tag appear next to the album in your Photo Management area. This warning indicates that your album has exceeded system limits.

Photo limits per album

The GotPhoto system enforces limits to ensure stability and performance:

  • Group images: Maximum of 2000 per album
  • Individual images: Maximum of 300 per album

Impact of exceeding the limit

If you exceed these limits, not all images will be visible in the shop. This means some photos may not appear to customers even though they are uploaded in the admin area.

The takeaway

The "Too many photos" tag indicates your album has surpassed GotPhoto’s photo limits (2000 group or 300 individual images). To ensure all photos are available in the shop, keep each album within these limits.
