Use the production tab for self-fulfilled products

Overview

This article explains how to use the production tab for any physical products you self-fulfill.   If you want to add service items for purchase (for example, retouching or sitting fees), see how to add additional services for purchase. The production tab is available on Pro and custom Enterprise plans. 


Add the production tab

Use this section to enable and understand the production tab before creating products.

  • You can find the production tab in the left-hand menu.
  • If you don’t see it, contact Customer Care to activate it.
  • [Pro and Enterprise only] The production tab is available on Pro and custom Enterprise plans.
  • Shipping modes:
    • Direct shipping is enabled by default.
    • Batch shipping is supported; for US accounts, select Simple batch shipping (US) when setting up your production tab.

Add products

After your production tab is set up, add your self-fulfilled products.

Create your own products

  1. Go to Production → My products.
  2. Select Products, then select the blue + Create product button.
  3. Enter a name and brief description, choose a product category, and select Save.
    [Optional] Enable Manual revision if you want to review orders containing this product before they are sent to the lab.

  4. [Advanced] Expand Advanced settings to collect up to five additional pieces of information from customers at purchase (useful for items like trading cards).

  5. Find the product you created, select ActionsEdit.
  6. Click Select image, choose the product image, and select Upload. Use compressed images, maximum 500 px on the longest edge.
  7. Select the button to Add new size.
  8. Enter the dimensions and name of your new product size. If you do not want to allow cropping, leave the width and height fields empty.
  9. Select Save.

The takeaway

The production tab lets you build, price, and fulfill your own physical products with either direct shipping or batch shipping. Enable the tab (Pro and Enterprise), create products with optional manual revision and advanced fields, add images and sizes, and you’re ready to run a smooth in-house workflow.
