This checklist will guide you through the key steps in the Review Phase — the stage after Picture Day but before customers begin ordering. We'll help you build beautiful online galleries that drive sales and delight parents.

Checklist: get your photos ready to sell

Follow these steps to prep your galleries for success:

1. Edit your photos: If you're doing your own edits, complete them before uploading to GotPhoto. Want to save time? Explore GotPhoto's integrated editing solutions.
2. Set a watermark
3. Create a new album and edit its settings
4. Upload your photos
5. Sort your photos and activate access codes:
   • Activate access codes (QR cards only)
   • If you didn't use QR/barcodes: Manually tag your photos or upload metadata
   • Used barcode scanning? GotPhoto auto-tags and activates access codes for you.
6. Assign a new index photo [Optional] — GotPhoto assigns a default one if you don’t choose.
7. Submit your photos for editing[Optional]:
   • Basic editing and AI-Powered Basic Editing
   • Background extractions (Currently only in North America)
8. Change job status to "Selling" (not for [Prepay only]) → Learn how to change job status

10. Run your student data export[Optional]:
    • PSPA format (North America)
    • SIMS format (UK)
