Overview
If you already uploaded photos to a photo job and now need to add more - such as for makeup days or reshoots - you can upload additional images without disrupting your existing job. The process differs depending on whether you are adding just a few photos or many photos for multiple subjects.
Scenario 1: Add a few photos
Use this method if you want to add a few photos to an existing gallery. Your job must be set to Planning or Selling.
- Within the subject’s gallery, click the Manage individual button and select Upload more photos.
- On the next screen, click the blue Choose photos to upload button and select your images.
- Click the blue Start upload button.
In a few moments, the thumbnails for the new photos will appear in the gallery.
Scenario 2: Add many photos
Use this method if you need to add many photos across different subjects in a job with activated access codes.
- If you are using Lightroom or sFTP Upload, ensure the job is set to “Planning” (not Selling). If you are using EasyUpload, the job can remain in Selling mode. After uploading and activating the access codes, you can switch the job back to Selling. No additional emails will be sent, as the “job switched to Selling” event already happened the first time.
- Create a new album within your job.
- If you use the resorting feature (e.g., by group or teacher), you can apply this in step 3 of the activation process under expert settings. This will automatically move the images into the correct albums.
- If you use the web upload, the new album will be inactive by default after activating access codes. Customers will not see those images until you activate the album. Go to Album Actions → Activate album.
- [Optional] If you want to notify customers about a new retake album, you can create a one-time message to only customers with codes in this new album.
The takeaway
You can easily add photos to an existing photo job, whether for a small set of reshoots or a large batch of new subjects. For smaller uploads, use the subject gallery tools; for larger ones, manage albums, job status, and activation carefully to ensure everything appears correctly in the shop.
