Overview
The Entagged device features an LED in its top right corner that lights up in different colors based on its current status. These lights help indicate power, connection status, firmware updates, and more. This guide explains what each LED color and pattern means.
Regular usage indicators
These are the LED color indicators you'll see during normal operation:
- Yellow/orange, slow pulse: The Entagged is ready to connect but not currently connected to a phone or tablet.
- Turquoise, slow pulse: The app is connected but inactive (e.g., app in background, screen off, or unused for 30+ seconds).
- Turquoise, continuously on: The app is connected and actively in use. Required for saving codes to photo metadata.
- Light blue, slow pulse: The app is disconnected, but a barcode scanner is connected (inactive for 30+ seconds).
- Light blue, continuously on: The app is disconnected, and a barcode scanner is actively in use.
Firmware update indicators
These LED colors appear during a firmware update process:
- Dark blue, continuously on: The Entagged is in firmware update mode and connected to the app.
- Dark blue, blinking: A firmware update is in progress.
- Red, continuously on: The Entagged is in firmware update mode but not connected to the app.
