Overview
When working with customers who order for multiple subjects (for example, parents with multiple children in the same school), striking the right balance between affordability and profitability is key. This article explains two options for setting up sibling packages: (1) limiting packages by access code, and (2) using dedicated sibling price lists [price profiles]. It also reviews an option for providing a tiered discount for parents purchasing for multiple children.
Limiting packages by access code
This approach controls whether a package can include photos from more than one access code. It is most common in school photography where there is one access code per child.
For school photography, the most used access type is one access code per child—one QR card (one access code) for each individual on photo day. Once the photo job is set to selling, customers (parents) may have multiple QR cards (access codes), one for each of their children. They can log in to your shop using each access code to see all of their children’s photos.
Set package behavior by access code
- Open the package and go to Settings.
- Choose whether to tick Limit to one access:
- Checked: The parent must build the package using photos from a single access code.
- Unchecked: The parent can mix photos from two or more access codes within the same package.
Product package with “Limit to one access” checked
If you have a product package with “Limit to one access” checked, parents will not be able to mix and match photos from different children to build a single package. Instead, the shop prompts them to choose which access code they want to use for the package.
Product package with “Limit to one access” unchecked
If you do not check Limit to one access in the product package, the parent will be able to build a package with photos from two or more access codes.
Dedicated sibling price lists
Use a dedicated sibling package that allows mixing across access codes, while keeping the rest of your packages limited to one access code.
Most packages in a price list can be limited by one access code, with the exception of one or two packages that are not limited to one access code.
As shown above, the Simple, Classic, and Super packages are all single-pose (one image) and each is limited to one access code. The Premium package is also limited to one access code but is a multi-pose package. The only package that parents can purchase and mix and match between access codes is the Siblings package.
Tiered discount
[Optional] Offer a tiered discount to accommodate families with several children. This encourages larger orders while keeping pricing clear.
If you want to accommodate families with several children, we recommend using three discount levels in the photo order:

FAQs
Can customers combine photos from different children in one package?
Yes—only if the package does not have Limit to one access enabled or if you provide a dedicated Siblings package designed for mixing across access codes.
Which option should I choose: limit by access code or a sibling package?
If you want strict control and simpler fulfillment, limit most packages to one access code and add a single Siblings package that allows mixing. This gives families flexibility without complicating all packages.
How do discounts work with multiple children?
Use a tiered discount (for example, first child full price, additional children at set percentages off) to reward larger orders. Implement this with job-specific coupons.
The takeaway
Decide whether families can mix photos across access codes by using the Limit to one access setting and, when needed, a dedicated Siblings package. For larger families, add a clear tiered discount via job-specific coupons to balance customer affordability with your profitability.
