Troubleshoot FTP upload issues in GotPhoto

Overview

If you experience issues uploading photos via FTP, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try. Before starting, ensure you’ve reviewed the instructions in this guide: How to upload photos via FTP.


Step 1: Check your username and password

Incorrect login details are the most common cause of FTP connection issues. Follow these steps to confirm your credentials:

  1. In the admin area, click on your username in the top bar.
  2. Select Users and permissions.
  3. Click the Edit button next to your username.

  4. Your username and password will appear at the bottom of the window.

Step 2: Restart your connection

Sometimes disconnecting and reconnecting to the server fixes upload issues. In FileZilla, click the two highlighted buttons to restart your connection:

Step 3: Contact support

If checking your credentials and restarting your connection does not fix the problem, contact our Customer Care team. Please include:

  • A detailed description of the issue
  • Screenshots of any error messages
  • The FTP client you are using (e.g., FileZilla)
