Set Your Terms and Conditions

Overview

When selling products in an online shop, you are legally obliged to provide certain information. The easiest way to meet this requirement is through correctly using Terms and Conditions (T&Cs). In this article, we'll review how to update your terms and conditions.

Adding Terms and Conditions

⚠ Important: Having clear Terms and Conditions provides you with evidence to submit to Stripe in cases of payment disputes submitted by your customers. Make sure you take the time to define your Terms and Conditions to maximize the potential of a favorable outcome on potential disputes.
  1. To add your Terms and Conditions, navigate to: Settings > Pages & Menu > Terms.

Once you have added your Terms and Conditions, your customers will be prompted during the order process in your online shop to confirm and agree to your conditions. In addition, your customers will be sent a receipt including these Terms and Conditions after a successful order.

The Takeaway

Protect your business by adding clear Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) to your online shop. Setting and saving T&Cs will ensure customers acknowledge and agree to the conditions during the ordering process. Additionally, a receipt containing the Terms and Conditions will be sent to customers after a successful order, reinforcing transparency in your orders.
