Troubleshooting: Entagged LED is not lighting up

Table of contents

Overview

If your Entagged device is not lighting up, please try the following steps:

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Make sure your camera is on: The Entagged is powered by the camera, so if it is off, the LED will also remain off.
  2. Check the cable orientation: The HDMI cable powers the Entagged M. If it is plugged in incorrectly, the Entagged won’t receive power and the LED will not light up.
The USB cable on Entagged N1 and N2 can also cause issues if reversed—it may power the device but prevent the LED from turning on.
To connect properly: with the Entagged logo facing you and its port facing upward, plug the “Foolography” end of the HDMI cable into the Entagged.
    • M and N1: Cable should point to the right.
    • N2: Cable should point to the left.
  3. N1/N2 models — Check your Entagged orientation: Ensure the logo is correctly oriented with the line positioned at the bottom.
  4. N1 model — Check your depth: Gently wiggle your Entagged into the port to ensure it fits snugly.
