Overview
GotPhoto provides a default layout for your QR cards. However, you may wish to adjust this layout to better suit your business needs. In this article, we’ll review the settings available for editing your QR cards.
Editing QR cards
⚠ Important: If you have already generated your QR cards, you will need to delete and regenerate them after editing for the changes to apply.

In your photo job, go to the Tagging tab and click "Edit QR card layout".
Here’s what you can adjust:
- Template
Select your desired layout template. Available options vary by account type.
- Settings
- Background image: Select Custom to upload your own background image as a PDF.
- Your logo (optional): Upload your business logo to display it on the card.
- Phone (optional): Add a contact number or a short message (max. 20 characters).
- Email (optional): Add a contact email or brief text (max. 30 characters).
- Advanced settings
- Language: Choose from available languages for the card text.
- Website URL: Add a URL if using DNS forwarding, so customers are directed to your site.
- Output format: Choose between 1 or 2 cards per page. Two cards per page require cutting.
- Output order: Choose the sorting order. Note: This is only available if your job includes a names list. If cards aren't sorting correctly in one-card mode, try switching to two-card mode and disable "Stack Sorting".
- Stack sorting: For two-card printing, stack sorting arranges them for efficient cutting and bundling.
- Show barcode: In addition to the QR code, include a barcode if your workflow supports barcode scanning.
FAQ
Why is teacher info not shown on the Minimal design?
The Minimal design only ever prints the child's group. Teacher isn't part of that template at all. It's not a hidden setting, it's just not in the layout. You can apply the workaround and combine the grade and teacher information in your group column if needed (e.g., 9 / Miller).
Which US/CA designs do show teacher info?
Half Page (2017) and Half Page Kids & Neutral (2019). Both combine group and teacher into one line ("Group / Teacher").
Why does Half Page (2018) look like it's missing things compared to the other Half Page versions?
It's an older template that predates the fields added later. It has no teacher line, no barcode support, and no phone/email fields, those were only added starting with the 2019 version.
Which US/CA design shows the school/organization name?
Only the Minimal design, if no organization/client is provided, it shows the job name. Please note that the Minimal design won't show sibling names or the [I]/[G]/[F] registration-intent labels that the other designs can show.
Which design can print a prepay order summary on the card?
Only the Minimal design will add the prepay order summary to the card.
Which US/CA design shows a phone number and email address?
Only Half Page Kids & Neutral (2019). It's also the only one of the four with the "Neutral" vs. colorful background toggle.
Can I put my own custom background image on any of the US/CA cards?
Half Page (2017) and Half Page (2018) support a custom background PDF (upload/template import). Half Page Kids & Neutral (2019) uses the built-in Neutral/Colorful setting instead of a custom upload. The Minimal supports neither.
