Next Gen: Common Questions & Answers

While all relevant information can be found in our Next Gen Articles, we have compiled a list of the most frequently asked questions for you. Links to the respective articles with more details are included.

What is the Next Gen turnaround time?

Turnaround times vary depending on the size of the job. To ensure accurate expectations and avoid misunderstandings, it's best to check the turnaround timetable at www.nextgenphotosolutions.com before communicating with your league. This information can be found here (8. Turnaround Period and Proofing).

Before submitting a real job, can I preview the checkout and selection page?

Absolutely! We've created this checkout walkthrough for you. This link can also be found here (article overview).

How many images can I send to Next Gen per athlete?

For full composite jobs, there is a defined limit of 6 images (1 team and 5 individual images). For Traditional and Traditional+ jobs, the limit is 5 images (all individual). Learn more here: Full Composite jobsTraditional & Traditional+ jobs

For Traditional and Traditional+ jobs, do team images need to be uploaded to GotPhoto first?

No, team images don’t need to be uploaded before submitting the job to Next Gen. They are included in your editing request and will flow back into your job, eliminating the need for duplicate uploads. Learn more here

Do team images get turned into graphics as well as the individuals?

No, team poses are specifically used for the team image and cannot be converted into graphics. If you require a team pose to be used as a graphic, you should photograph it twice-once as the team pose and once as an individual image. This information can also be found here (2. Take Photos).

Can I only choose from Next Gen templates?

While there are hundreds of templates available on our site, with new ones added each season (more coming soon), you can also set up purchased templates through our platform. To do so, you'll need to provide all PSD elements of the template along with proof of purchase. We work with a third-party service for setup, which typically costs around $50 per template. Once uploaded to your account, the template is yours to use indefinitely. These templates are designed for customization, including color changes, making them adaptable for future projects. Learn more here (7. Product Selection and Checkout  > Custom Template)

Do the pricing bundles include the team images?

No, the bundles apply only to individual images. This is because individual images vary the most in the process due to differences in the number of poses and graphics. To determine the full price per athlete, take your bundle price and add it to your team build option. Learn more here.

If I need to make a Help Request, do those new graphics flow back into my GotPhoto account?

Unfortunately, not at this time. Currently, your Help Request will come back in a Google Drive download and these will need to be uploaded onto GotPhoto and manually attached to your job. For this reason, it is critical to make sure your data is validated properly before sending in to keep the number of requests after the job is completed to a minimum. Learn more about Help Requests here.

Can I multi-tag buddy images before sending them to Next Gen?

Not at this time. Currently, multiple tagged access codes on a single image can disrupt the process. It's best to tag one athlete initially and manually connect the secondary access codes once everything is processed. This is something we plan to evaluate in the future. This information can also be found here (2. Take Photos).

Can I add color correction to my Next Gen order, or must it be sent to Customer Care first?

You can add on color correction at checkout for $0.20 per image. This information can also be found here (7. Product Selection and Checkout).
