The Issue
After importing a job to QID or QMate, you notice that the photos won't import.
The Root Cause
Please review your photos in the job. Verify that the galleries have been activated and ensure no photo is hidden (marked with a little eye icon). If that is not the case, you have likely tagged your galleries manually:
The gallery above displays a green QR icon on each photo, indicating that the galleries have been manually tagged. This icon indicates that QID will automatically skip these photos, as it is typically only hidden QR card images that feature this icon. These images are excluded from processing since QR cards do not require an import into QID.
The Solution
To ensure a smooth process, follow these instructions for generating and managing QR cards for this job:
- Generate the QR Cards: Create the required QR cards for this job. Instead of photographing them individually, convert the provided PDF of QR cards into JPG format using your preferred tool or software.
- Upload the original photos and the newly converted QR cards to a separate album within the same job, and sort them manually to their correct spot as the first photo of each student's sequence.
- Activate the QR codes to ensure they are recognized and ready for processing.
- Once the sorting and activation steps are complete, re-import the job into QID / QMate. The system will now recognize the photos in that new album and correctly associate them with the QR codes, making them appear in QID / QMate.
- After creating the QR cards, you can delete the newly created album in the job.
Why we do not recommend deleting or re-uploading the photos and QR cards if there are already orders in the job:
Be careful not to delete the original photos, especially if customers have already placed orders. Deleting images could result in broken orders if they have yet to be processed, which would cause inconvenience for customers and disrupt your workflow.
