GotPhoto's pre-loaded watermarks

Watermarks are an important way to help protect your images when used correctly.

They won’t prevent all misuse, but they can discourage casual copying, make unauthorized use less convenient, and clearly show ownership. We regularly improve our watermark features based on real usage and new technology. If you use a custom watermark, we also recommend reviewing and updating it periodically.

Watermarks work best as part of a layered protection strategy, not as a single solution.

Given how quickly AI evolves, it’s important to update your custom watermarks regularly. You can learn more about GotPhoto's layered content protection approach here: US blog: The integrity of the image / UK blog: The integrity of the image

Update April 2026

We strongly recommend using our latest watermark: GotPhoto Watermark All Rights Reserved (Recommended). Based on current testing, this version is the most effective.

If you'd like to adjust them, you'll find the PSD versions attached to this article.

You can download .psd versions of our watermarks and customize them with your own branding. We recommend using and modifying only the latest version. Legacy versions are still available for convenience, but they are no longer recommended due to advancements in watermark removal tools.

Best Practice: Test your watermark against current AI removal tools at least once per quarter to ensure continued protection.
