The Entagged System

The Entagged device is a Bluetooth plug-in that connects to your camera via one of its ports (USB/remote/10-pin, dependent on the camera model) and a small cable.

There are 3 Entagged models, and the online shop link above will help you choose the correct one for your camera.

The Magnetic Plug

The M model (which fits most cameras) features a special magnetic plug. The magnetic plug gets attached to the camera, while the Entagged device snaps onto the front of it.

This design ensures that your camera ports are protected in case of accidental knocks and jostling; Any force strong or persistent enough to affect you Entagged will simply disconnect the magnets. And don't worry about losing your device — the cable connection will keep your Entagged device firmly connected to your camera.

This unique plug also guarantees future compatibility for your device: If you choose to change camera models and you no longer have the same port, you can replace the magnet plug without needing to purchase an entirely new Entagged device. This is also convenient for moving the device between current cameras.

The Cable

While it may look delicate, the cable that comes with your Entagged is incredibly strong. With a combination of enameled strands and TPU insulation, these custom cables are incredibly flexible and designed to both have a low profile and stand up to the rigors of Picture Day.

The cable you receive with your Entagged device depends upon the camera model you entered at checkout.

Optional: External Scanner

When using the standard barcode scanning workflow or the RFID/NFC scanning workflow, some photographers find it convenient to use a handheld scanner. You can purchase a scanner from any retailer. These are the currently supported scanners: 

For barcode scanning:

• OPTICON OPN2006: Laser scanner for printed barcodes.

• OPTICON RS-2006: Laser ring scanner for printed barcodes.

• OPTICON PX-20: CCD scanner for barcodes and QR codes. Can read from screens.

For NFC/RFID scanning:

• TERTIUM NFC SCANNER: RFID scanner for HF (13.56MHz) tags/wristbands, compatible with ISO 15693 (iCODE, Tag-it, etc.) and ISO 14443-A (Mifare, etc.) tags.
