GotPhoto Online Shop 2025 edition: new design and features

Table of contents

Overview

The new GotPhoto shop design has been updated with a sleek, user-friendly interface. It's now available to everyone and is optimized for mobile devices. The new shop also includes exclusive features not available in the previous version.

Key new features

  • Favorite photo/ID card photo/yearbook photo selection deadline: Set a deadline in the admin area to create a sense of urgency for photo selection.
  • The retouching service product: Highlight your retouching service to customers right before they check out.

Data insights

The new shop provides significant data improvements over the 2024 version.

  • A 10% average sales increase (measured by GMV per activated access code).
  • A 44% higher mobile conversion rate, as 80% of shop traffic comes from mobile devices.

Activating the new shop

The new shop is currently activated on a job-by-job basis. There are two ways to enable it for a job.

1. Activate the new shop when creating your new job

Simply select the option to use the new shop during the job creation process.

2. Activate the new shop on the job settings page

You can easily switch any photo job to the new shop, even if it was originally set up for the old version.

  1. Navigate to the Photo Job > Settings > Actions > Edit Job Information.
  2. Check the box to "Use our Online Shop 2025 Edition for this job."
  3. Click "Save Settings."

[Warning] If your job or price profile includes a feature not yet available in the new shop, you won't be able to activate it. An on-screen note will explain why the job isn’t compatible.

[Important] If a job is already live with the old shop version, switching will trigger an error message for all customers. They will need to log out and log back in, and their carts will be reset. To avoid this, switch before the job goes live for sales.

We’ve created a sample gallery so you can see the new shop in action. Access it by following the link in your admin area, or scan your country-specific QR code below.

Background feature

The Online Shop 2025 Edition now supports the GotPhoto background feature. You can view the feature from the customer's perspective here.

[Note] The package restriction to a single background is not yet supported in the new shop.

Download all (PNGs): Customers can now select their preferred backgrounds for images included in the “Download All” package before adding it to their cart. If a gallery contains more than 20 PNGs, customers will first choose backgrounds for the initial 20 images, and then for the remaining images in a subsequent step.

Shopping with multiple access codes from the same job

Customers with access codes for multiple children in the same job can still view both galleries.

  • If they have shared their email and received job communication, they can click the login link in the email to access both galleries.
  • They can manually enter all available access codes on the shop access page.

[Note] The option to enter an additional access code once a customer has already logged in is not yet available. Customers will need to go back to the shop's login page to enter additional codes.

Customer registration

The new registration form for the Shop 2025 Edition is now embedded directly on the page, so it no longer opens as a pop-up. This prevents issues with pop-up blockers. If the form is set as optional, customers can close it by clicking the 'X' icon.

New: Shopping from multiple jobs that use the new shop

New Online Shop 2025 now fully supports for ordering across multiple jobs that are using the new shop. Shoppers can access the shop via the direct login link or by entering the access codes they have access to.

[Note] Similar to the old shop, pricing, packages, and product availability may vary between subjects. If customers use access codes from a photo job that already uses the new shop and combine them with codes from jobs that still use the old shop, they will automatically be redirected to the old shop.
