Overview

Depending on your location, you may be required to provide a Privacy Notice on your site. In this article, we’ll review where to add your Privacy Notice and how this affects your website.


Adding a Privacy Policy

⚠ Important: Having a clear Privacy Policy is required if you are looking to use the third-party service Twilio to send text messages to your customers. More information on how to meet the Privacy Policy requirements for Twilio users is available here.

Add your privacy notice

  1. First, please review your local laws and consult your legal advisor. GotPhoto cannot provide legal advice or take responsibility for the content of your Privacy Notice.
    To assist you, we’ve compiled a list of tools and services used in your online shop, including the types of data they process and the providers involved.
    Please note: If you implement additional services in your shop that are not provided by GotPhoto, these must also be included in your Privacy Notice.
  2. Go to the Online Shop page.
    Then click on the Privacy tab:

  3. Paste your Privacy Notice into the Privacy statement text box.
  4. Tick the checkbox below and click Save.

After clicking Save, a link to your Privacy Notice will automatically appear in the footer of your online shop.

Server location: GotPhoto securely stores all data on Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers located within the European Union.
