Download links for digital products stay active for up to 6 weeks from when an order is placed.
Customers are informed about the time period in the automatic email they receive when the download is available.
Once the download link has expired, there are two options to renew it:
1. On the customer end:
Your customer can simply click the Zip File Download button on their order overview page to re-trigger the download activation.
Shortly afterward, they will receive am email with the download link.
2. On your end:
To make the Renew Download Link button reappear, start by disabling the current download link under the Actions menu on the Orders page. Once the link is disabled, the Renew Download Link button will become visible again.
Shortly after you click the button, your customers will receive an email notification and gain access to download their images.
Important: If the system does not show immediate confirmation, please wait at least 5 minutes before clicking again. Repeatedly pressing the button can cause delays, as the system is re-prompted each time. If the photos have been deleted from the job in the meantime, the download link cannot be renewed. In this case, please provide the files to your customer outside of GotPhoto.
