The Online Shop Settings Page

The Online Shop Settings page can be found by clicking into the Settings tab, and then clicking on Online Shop Settings in the navigation menu on the left-hand side. Let's review the different tabs on this page:

The Shop Settings Tab

The following settings can be adjusted on this tab (A video explanation can be found below):

  1. Keep selection: Ticking this box will keep chosen photos selected after adding them to the cart so that customers can add them in multiple sizes.
  2. Hide shipping costs: Ticking this box will keep shipping costs from being shown in the product overview.
  3. Hide shipping information: Ticking this box will keep additional shipping information from being shown in the product overview.
  4. Packages preview: You can select how to show your package previews here, with either automatic (showing a large preview when less than 8 packages are available), or small (always showing a small preview, regardless of the number of available packages).
  5. Cropping (Portrait): You can use the Top-Down Cropping function to specify the default format in which your products are cropped. This can prevent the top portion of the photograph from being unintentionally cut off. Your customers can still change the cropping as they wish in the online shopping cart.

In your online shop, this will result in the following differences per setting:

    Middle Cropping (Default)Top-Down Cropping
  6. Customer survey: Ticking this box will generate a shopping experience survey for your customers after checkout. This survey is about the user experience of using a GotPhoto storefront, not about your particular studio. It helps us continually improve the experience of your customers in your shop.
  7. Purchasing steps: Here you can decide if you would like to show your customers packages or photos first, or let the system decide which option would be more profitable on a case-by-case basis.

The Expert Settings Tab

The Expert Settings tab allows you to add your own code to your online shop pages. One way to do this is by changing your shop's favicon.
