Request a Payout from Your GotPhoto Balance

This article is relevant to North American customers only.

Overview

This article explains when you might see a positive balance in your GotPhoto account and outlines the steps for requesting a payout.

Why does my GotPhoto balance show a positive balance?

There are some scenarios that will result in a positive GotPhoto balance:

  • Reverted service fee charges by GotPhoto
  • You received a payment via our referral program
  • The credit may be a result of the different rounding types that we apply for our internal accounting and that is applied by Stripe. Learn more here
  • For prepay sales in the previous invoice cycle that haven't been released yet: Sales tax and service fees have been deducted and credited to your account. It's advisable to retain this balance until the orders are released, and the corresponding invoices are settled in the next cycle.

New: Automatic Payouts

Beginning at the end of November, GotPhoto will automatically pay out any positive balance you may have after you receive your monthly invoice, so there is no need to request a manual payout.

Requesting a Payout

If you would like to request an unscheduled payout, please reach out to our Customer Care team via our contact form (please share your customer number) or via your GotPhoto user email (admin user) and provide our team with the following information:

  • Bank Name
  • Account holder name
  • Routing number
  • Account number
  • Specify the payout amount—either the full balance or a specific amount. Please remember that your GotPhoto balance may fluctuate with each sale.

The Takeaway

Understand the reasons behind a positive GotPhoto balance, including reverted fees and referral bonuses. Follow the outlined steps to securely request a payout from your account.
