How to integrate your own payment provider?

By default, every GotPhoto account includes a PayPal payment method in order to get you selling your photos quickly and easily. However, you can only withdraw your funds after reaching a minimum amount, and it takes at least a few business days before you receive them in your bank account.Setting up your own payment providers ensures that you receive the funds directly and immediately after each order – no minimums or waiting periods required.

Follow the steps below to implement your own PayPal and Stripe payment methods to your GotPhoto account.

Stripe Integration (Recommended)

If you use Stripe, the payments will be processed within your Stripe account. Parents don’t need a Stripe account; they will pay directly with their credit card.

Step 1: Create an account with Stripe: http://stripe.com

Step 2: Login to Stripe and click Developers --> API Keys on the list to your left.

Step 3: Copy the "Live Secret Key" on Stripe to "Secret Key" in the form under “Payment Methods” on your GotPhoto account. (If you see 'test' in the key, you need to toggle to view live keys as indicated by the red box in the image above.)

Step 4: Copy the "Live Publishable Key" on Stripe to "Public Key" in the form under “Payment Methods” on your GotPhoto account.

Step 5: Click on “Save” once the fields have been filled in.

Stripe Connect Integration:
The Stripe Connect integration is added just as the steps for 'Stripe Integration' are listed above. It's important to note that you must reach out to our Support team to get Stripe Connect properly integrated in your GotPhoto account.

**If you are set up for prepay and your payment provider is Stripe Connect, your GotPhoto service fees will automatically be debited from the order payments.**

Your personal PayPal account (Recommended):

By using this method, you will automatically receive all payments directly to your PayPal account. Step 1: Login to your business PayPal account. (The integration will not work if it is not a business account.) Step 2: Click “Profile” on the top right and select “Profile and settings” from the menu.

Step 3: From the left menu, click “My selling tools”.

Step 4: In the Selling online section, click “Update” for the API access item.

Step 5: Click “Manage API credentials” under NVP/SOAP API Integration.

Step 6: Select “Request API signature” and click “Agree and Submit”.

Step 7: Copy your API Username, Password, and Signature and paste into the appropriate fields in GotPhoto.

Step 8: Click Save.

Testing Your Payment Providers:

Once your payment providers have been set up, the next step is to place some test orders and attempt to pay them yourself. You can change the price for one product to £0.60 so you don't need to pay full price.

It is a good idea to test this because the last thing you want is customers not being able to pay you for the photos. This tiny payment will be a great investment. ;)
