# Understand the difference between Prepay and Prepay+
### **Overview**
**Please note:** Prepay is not activated by default and is reserved for existing North American customers on higher-tier plans with specific business needs. If this applies to you, and you believe Prepay may be a good fit for your account, please contact your account manager. Prepay+ is only available to existing users who already have it enabled. We’ve taken a step back from broadly offering Prepay and Prepay+ to enhance and upgrade our Prepay experience in the future.
This article explains the differences between GotPhoto’s Prepay and Prepay+ offerings.
### **Comparison of Prepay and Prepay+**
| Prepay | Prepay+ |
| --- | --- |
| Customers pay upfront for packages and/or à la carte products. The photographer selects one image used across all products. | Customers pay upfront, but after images are uploaded, they can return to the shop and choose which images to apply to their pre-paid products. |

### **FAQs**
### Who is eligible to use Prepay or Prepay+?
Only existing North American customers on higher-tier plans may have Prepay enabled. Prepay+ is only available to users who already had it activated previously.
### Can customers choose images in a Prepay setup?
No. In Prepay, the photographer selects the image used for all products in the package.
### How do customers select images in Prepay+?
Customers return to the shop after the images are uploaded and select which ones to apply to each product in their package.
### Are there upsell features in both options?
Upsells such as additional downloads and package upgrades are only supported in Prepay+.
### **The takeaway**
Prepay is simple and controlled by the photographer, using a single image across products. Prepay+ provides more flexibility for customers, allowing them to select their favorite poses for each product — and includes upsell options for increased order value.
