Sometimes using access codes just won't cut it. Whether for granting global access to administrators or just making things simpler for parents, GotPhoto helps you empower your customers with alternative pathways to access their photos. In this article, we'll review your options for setting up alternative photo access methods.

Global Access Codes
Global access codes can be created from a photo job to share with school staff or coaches. It will provide them with access to all photos in the photo job.
Follow the steps below to create your Global Access Code:
- From the Main Settings Page of your photo job, click on "Expert setting: Add global access code?" This setting can be found at the bottom of the Access Type section of the page:
- Type the desired access code in the text box that appears:
- Save your changes by clicking the blue "Save Settings" button on the left side.
- Provide the global access code to the school staff/coaches.
Global Connection Code
Global Connection Codes allow all parents in a job to access their children's galleries with a single password. After signing in, parents will be prompted to select their child's name from a list.
Jobs must include student data (Firstname, Lastname) for this feature to work.
Please note that Global Connection Codes are not a default feature. If you would like to enable this feature on your account, please reach out to our Customer Care team
Follow the steps below to create your Global Connection Code:
- From the Main Settings Page of your photo job, click on "Expert setting: Add global access code?" This setting can be found at the bottom of the Access Type section of the page:
- Type the desired access code in the text box that appears and tick the box labeled "Global connection":
- Save your changes by clicking the blue "Save Settings" button on the left side.
- When a parent enters the Global Connection Code in your shop, they will see a list of all students' names. They will need to click on the "LOGIN" button next to their child's name:
Please be aware that parents will technically be able to access other galleries. We have added a privacy disclaimer, but you may want to discuss this with the school or childcare provider first.
Find Your Access Code
Find Your Access Code allows all parents in a job to access their children's galleries with a single password, with the added security of prompting parents to enter their child's name (rather than providing a list of all students).

- From the Main Settings Page of your photo job, click on "Expert setting: Add global access code?" This setting can be found at the bottom of the Access Type section of the page:
- Type the desired access code in the text box that appears and tick the boxes labeled "Global connection" and "Find your Access Code":
- Save your changes by clicking the blue "Save Settings" button on the left side.
- When a parent enters the Global Connection Code in your shop, they will type in their child's name and be presented with their child's gallery, thereby increasing data protection:
They will need to confirm the disclaimer that they are authorized to view the photos in this case as well.
