Overview
To make uploaded photos visible in your online shop, you must activate access codes. This allows GotPhoto to match each subject to their images. This article covers how to sort, move, and activate access-coded photos.

- Open the album where your photos are uploaded.
- Arrange images so that each QR card is followed by that subject’s photos.
- If needed, sort images by:
- Clicking Sort photos to sort by filename/date/etc.
- Dragging and dropping using the move icon.
- QR cards will be highlighted green once read.
Note: Manually-added access codes will also be highlighted with a green border and hidden by default upon activation.
- Manually enter access codes if a QR card is not recognized.

- [Optional] Use the Buddy/Sibling album field to name an album for photos with multiple access codes.
- Once activated, photos will appear under each subject's access code. Multi-access code images go to the Buddy and Sibling album.
Pro tip: Resorting after activation
If you forgot to sort by teacher/group before activation, go to Manage Individuals → Resort Photo to albums in your upload album. A popup will let you select fields from your names list to restructure the albums.
FAQ
If I deactivate an album, will I be able to resort the photos from scratch?
No, deactivating an album does not reset or clear photo sorting. It simply hides the album from customers and marks it as hidden in Photo Management. All photos and their current organization stay the same. To resort photos, You’ll need to revert access code activation under "Manage individuals" in the album.
This sends galleries back to their unsorted state and allows you to reapply sorting.
[Important] Reverting the access code activation should only be applied if QR Tagging was used as the tagging method. If you used any other tagging method (Entagged, SpotMyPhotos, metadata tagging, tethering, or manual tagging) for the photos, the access codes will be deleted., meaning the data will be stripped from these images.
Sorting Options:
- During Activation: Use Resort photos based on your name list to auto-sort into albums by group/teacher.
- After Activation: Use Resort photos to albums under Individual Actions within your album.
The takeaway
Activating access codes enables your customers to view their photos online. Properly sorting, validating QR cards, and optionally grouping by names list ensures a seamless, organized presentation in your GotPhoto shop.
