# QuickComposite: The Basics
**Version update September 2024:** The new QComposite is now [available for download from Nolte Software](https://noltesoftware.com/downloads/)! While QuickComposite can still be used, Nolte Software will no longer provide active support. You can use your existing QuickComposite license key with the updated version. ### **Frequently Asked Questions**
### **Can I crop images within QuickComposite?**
Crop your images before importing them. While you can set size and aspect ratios within QuickComposite, it doesn’t support direct cropping or zooming inside the program.
### **Can I straighten the images that are loaded into QuickComposite?**
Yes. Use the rotation settings in the theme configuration. Setting both values to 0 straightens the image placement.
### **My background isn’t loading into QuickComposite.**
Ensure the **Show Theme Configuration** option is enabled. Then open your JPG background file. Save it as a custom design so you can reopen it more easily later. Refer to the [QuickComposite guide](https://app.hubspot.com/documents/3360279/view/88451503?accessId=b467db) for more information.
### **Can I offer a print of 8×10 for the composites?**
Yes. The output size is controlled by the background image used. If you purchase QuickComposite, you’ll receive a set of free 5×7 and 8×10 background files to choose from.
